I started getting into lost media circa 2022 with a lost media search for the original lost pilot for Backyardigans called Me And My Friends. This led to me also getting notified about a lost media show titled Welcome Home. Welcome Home was a show that ran from the tail end of the 60s to the mid 70s before being pulled of the air and all traces of the show's existance was wiped. The shows followed Wally Darling who seemed to have been the main or central character to Welcome Home leading the audience around the neighbourhood and following the typical adventures of Wally and his friends. The fellow neighbours were: Barnaby who was Wally's closest friend and the resident jokester, Sally Starlet a literal star who has a burning passion for drama and theatrics and loves to run the local theatre, Julie Joyful who was the resident Rainbow Monster who loves to create new games and can talk to flowers, Frank Frankly is the straight man and the voice of reason in the cast often played for jokes and is an entomologist he is often paired with Julie Joyful in a seemingly romantic or comedic foil but not often on his own, Eddie Dear is the local mailman of the neighbourhood who always delivers, Howdy the owner of the local grocery store, Poppy who is the local sewer, baker and Anxious Annie and last but not least is Wally Darling who's just the most excellent artist in the neighbourhood. They went on adventures that often taught life lesson such as do not lie, be yourself or that asking for help was okay.
Where I am from Welcome Home wasn't aired on any channel from my knowledge in my country at all. I haven't thought of asking about any of my relatives or elders around from my knowledge because it wouldn't make any sense it was only aired in the USA and on a niche and defunct channel that hasn't been talked about since probably the 80s and there is no evidence that any VHS were officially made at all or any found home .
It would have just been another show lost to time and vaguely remembered by those who watched but a restoration and lost media group is looking to return it to its former glory. The Welcome Home Restoration Project led by a wonderful group of people who have wanted to remain anonymous at this time led by a person called W at this time of me making this website. If you want to go to the restoration website I'll give you the link though you should stay on this website as I need to warn you about some rumours circulating about this website and if they are true.
There have been rumours about wierd and often creepy pages that lead to secret videos of the cast talking. It is unknown if it from an episode or if it is off set. Another issue relates to Wally primarily with the telephone toy. If you don't know the telephone toy was a toy that they (the restoration project) had found, it had all the characters voicelines except Wally's and if you did something it always changes, I'll tell why soon a convo with Wally would start a hunt around the website which they say reveals how wierd and messed up the behind the scenes a seemingly innocent show.
I thought that this was just private collectors making up ghost stories to destroy a reputable website that only wanted to help find lost media so that they wouldn't share any of their memorabilia as they could claim the show was seceretly being run by weirdos who were keeping a dark otherworld aboout this show from the public but as I looked on the site at this point and its history I can't brush off that there is something going on with the website that isn't entirely wholesome. I found on all the pages of the website that something is off with it. I'll show off evidence of my latest findings which will be the Spring Frank Frankly update, unfortunately finding older versions of the website has been incredibly hard to do so if you have any proof of what's going on before this or any videos I'll be very greatful for the contribution to this rabbit hole.
